ABOUT: WHET YOUR PALETTE
Drop-in painting is our specialty! With no reservation, you can simply walk in during regular business hours and paint anything you want for as little as $10! Drop-ins are priced by canvas size, and this includes all paints, supplies, materials, tools, aprons, and even partial assistance from our talented staff! There are no time limits.
Our classes currently run once a night from Wednesday through Sunday at 6:00 p.m. and require reservations. Each class is taught by one of our wonderful instructors who will guide you through the evening’s painting step by step! The monthly selection of class paintings is accessible through our website. All classes are open to all skill levels and ages unless stated otherwise.
There is no age requirement for drop-ins and parties!* We have paintings with which even the tiniest baby can “help” their caregivers, and a large variety of paintings for ALL skill levels. Fun has no age limit!
For summer camps, Camp-A-Little, and Homeschool students our minimum age is 4 years old. For piano and clarinet lessons, our minimum age is 6 years old. Studio students are accepted on a case-by-case basis.
For classes, we recommend participants be a minimum of 16 and with a parent or guardian.
*For children’s parties, an infant guest or two is wonderful! However we do strongly recommend the birthday child and most of their guests are around 5 years old and up, especially with larger parties!
Our paints are all acrylic. We do have oil paints available for studio students.
We can take party reservations over the phone, through e-mail, or in-shop. For accuracy, please make all evening class reservations through the website.
We currently accept checks, credit cards, and cash, via Square.
Currently we have lots of services and learning opportunities! We always have the drop-ins and the evening classes, plus our music lessons, after-school art, private painting or drawing lessons, and parties! We often do informational or entertainment booths at fairs and conventions of all occasions, commissions, face painting, murals and mural repairs... Busy, busy, busy!
If you need anything art-related, give us a call!
Bring any snacks and refreshments you like!
This depends on both your canvas size and your chosen painting. As an example, a child’s painting on an 8x10 will be closer to an hour, while a more intermediate painting on an 11x14 may take up to two hours.
Not unless you want to!
We do! All we ask is that you please leave all used brushes in your water cup when you’re done, and we will take care of the rest.
Please arrive at least an hour before close, so you have plenty of time to complete your painting!
First, we have our "drop-in" style. Second, there's a private room option! For a $50 deposit your group can paint drop-in style in privacy. This option includes all of the supplies, materials, and assistance of general drop-ins.
Third, we can do a full party! Adult parties are a flat price of $30 per painter, with a $120 deposit (which goes towards your final bill), while children’s parties are a flat price of $20 per painter with an $80 deposit, and both parties require a minimum of eight painters. The party can decide which painting to do as a group, and a personal instructor will guide your party through creating your chosen painting step-by-step! Parties generally 2 1/2 to 3 hours and includes at least one short break in that time.
We can do any kind of party you can think of! Bachelor’s or Bachelorette’s, birthdays young and young-at-heart, bridal showers, baby showers, corporate team-building, retirement…! The list is endless! You tell us what you’ve got planned, and we’ll make it work.
Please do! Make your reservation, invite your guests, and we’ll do the rest. Up to 30% funding. Call for details!
What’s a birthday party without cake?! Bring any snacks and refreshments you like! If you have frozen or cold items, we can also store those for you until you’re ready to dig in.
Certainly! Anything you like.
We do! Just be sure to take any of your decorations home that you’d like to keep, as we won’t hold on to them (balloons, streamers, et al).
If there is a specific accommodation that needs to be met (i.e., “no stairs”, “no music”) we can make that happen!
No problem at all! Please feel free to bring your canvas back with you at a later date to finish it for no extra cost!
If your painting is not dry, we have several fans and blowers around the building we can use to accelerate the drying process so that you won’t have to worry about accidentally painting your car upholstery! It is currently our policy not to hold paintings for guests.
All of our paintings were created by our lovely staff either in the course of teaching a class or to be used as references and inspiration. The paintings hanging in the stairwell are the personal works of the lovely Judith Kronbach and are available for purchase!
Mostly brainstorming, actually. Some paintings were created due to popular request, others simply because inspiration struck!
We aim to have any month’s class schedule posted by the first day of the previous month.
Absolutely! Let us know if there was a class you wanted to attend but missed, or if you have a favorite painting, and we’ll try to work it in there!
It may look complicated, but our instructors will break it down to the bare bones and guide you through the painting from beginning to end. We’re here to help!
For our evening classes, participants must be a minimum of sixteen years old and accompanied by a parent or guardian.
ABOUT: OUR STUDIO
Not to worry! We have a ‘lost and found’. Please call us and let us know what you’re looking for and we’ll see if anyone has turned one in!
If an item in the lost and found has not been claimed in one month and has no identifying information, it will be donated.
We would LOVE to have you! Please contact us so we can work out the details!
There are two outdoor kitties whom we feed. The white cat is named John and the black cat is named Violet. Please do not pet them! They are rather old and are very quick to change their minds. We try to guide them back outside when we see them.
On rare occasion there may also be a terrier mix hanging out; his name is Henry and he will love you forever if you pet him (but he’ll be very sad when you stop!).When it gets cooler, you might even get to see our tortoise! He had to spend the summer with Mrs. Kronbach, as he really, really likes moving furniture.
Please contact us! You can reach us through email, phone, Facebook, or coming to the studio! We’re more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
We offer private drawing lessons, clarinet lessons, piano lessons, private painting instruction, a homeschool art course, and beginning art lessons we call Camp-A-Little!
For our music lessons, we recommend a minimum age of 6 years old. Camp-A-Little and Homeschool students can be as young as 4. Studio painting and drawing students are taken on a case-by-case basis dependant upon their current knowledge and interest.
Camp-A-Little is our versatile beginning art program! Students start by exploring the color wheel and the relationships between colors and move on to learn about various famous painters, painting styles and techniques, proper care of various supplies, and much more!
Studio can be either studio students or studio space. For studio students, our instructors work with them to imitate master paintings and improve their own personal technique and style. Studio space is also available for those who simply want to paint with no distractions.
Our Homeschool program is geared towards students who need a little something extra for art instruction. Please call our studio for details!
Payment is due on the first of the month or before the first lesson of the month. We can also arrange for an autodraft if you prefer.
ABOUT: SUMMER CAMPS
During the summer, we offer week-long themed activities for kids ages 4 to 12! All of our camps are based on some aspect of art.
Our camps generally run late May through August. Please check back closer to spring for updates on specific camp dates!
Registration can begin as soon as summer camps are posted. Please check back in the spring for updates on specific camp dates!
Summer camp students are generally between 4 years old and 12 years old. Some camps may be split into separate groups if there are a large amount of attendees or a very wide range of ages.
There is nothing required, however we highly recommend sending your child in old clothes in case they get paint on themselves! It's also common for parents to send small snacks with their children as well. If you would like your child to stay for lunch, please also make sure to send a lunch with them as we do not provide meals. We also ask that any items sent with your child (i.e., lunchboxes, backpacks/bags, et al) have you child's name written in permanent marker in a visible place. Thank you!
It depends on the camp! Our Messy Camp truly lives up to its name, though some camps are calmer and less likely to get as wild. Since there's no guarantee, please make sure your children's clothes are older, or that you don't mind if their clothes get painted. An old plain adult t-shirt works great for this purpose.
Sometimes Groupon can be a little finicky. First, make sure you're entering the correct number (should be seven or eight digits, and can usually be found under the barcode), and please also be sure to include any hyphens. Most commonly, when entered, the number should resemble "XXXX-XXXX" or "XXX-XXXX".
Absolutely! We will accept the monetary value of an expired Groupon at any point after expiration. This can be applied to any goods or services we offer.
Please let us know through this form! Thank you very much!
